$YO Rewards Explained

Now that YO has debuted the $YO governance token, the YO Points program has concluded, and YO has launched its Reward Program to accelerate community growth and open the door for broader participation. This program is your entry point into earning sustainable rewards and governance power.

The Difference Between the Genesis Airdrop & $YO Rewards

$YO Rewards are not the same as the genesis $YO airdrop. These rewards are earned in addition to the $YO tokens you receive during the genesis airdrop. $YO rewards are earned for qualifying activities going forward. The genesis airdrop will reward users who participated in the protocol prior to January 29th.

  • Genesis Airdrop: $YO tokens given to users who participated in the protocol prior to January 29th.
  • $YO Rewards: $YO tokens given to users who participate in the protocol January 29th onward.

How to Earn $YO

The Rewards Program will consist of multiple campaigns, and the first campaign began on January 29th, the same day $YO was introduced. You will be able to earn $YO rewards in two ways:

  1. Deposit into YO Vaults

    Choose between yoUSD, yoETH, yoEUR, yoBTC, or yoGOLD vaults and start earning base yield plus additional $YO rewards.

  2. Participate in DeFi activities

    Add liquidity to all of our supported DeFi activities to earn $YO rewards.

The First Campaign

Please note that for the first campaign, DeFi activities will not accrue $YO rewards. These will come in later campaigns.

For the first campaign that began on January 29th, the reward rate is 14% across all vaults for a period of two weeks. This is calculated based on an assumed FDV (Fully Diluted Valuation) of $90M for the $YO token. You can adjust the FDV assumptions directly in YO dApp under Reward Settings based on your own calculations. Rewards are earned in addition to each vault’s base yield.

On the Rewards page, you can view your all-time rewards, current deposits, and claimable rewards.

  • All-time rewards: The total amount of rewards you have accrued since the program started on January 29th. *Note: This amount does not include your genesis airdrop tokens.
  • Current deposits: The total dollar amount of your deposits across all vaults.
  • Claimable rewards: The total dollar amount of $YO rewards you have available to claim. Rewards will accrue continuously throughout the day while the campaign is live. After a campaign ends, your rewards will still be available to claim, but you have 90 days to claim them, and after 90 days, they will expire.

When DeFi activities become available, they will be found under the Earn More Rewards section of the Rewards page. YO will share more details about eligible DeFi activities after the first campaign ends.
