February Recap

By YO

TL;DR

  • $YO claims are open until May 6
  • yoGOLD is earning native yield
  • Builders can now use the YO SDK to integrate YO
  • Hack with YO: Designing Smart DeFi Savings opens
  • All new user experience updates

February started strong, with $YO claims opening, DeFi activities being added to the $YO rewards program, and yoGOLD earning native yield. Last month also brought even more ways to build with YO, and updates to the YO app made your experience even more transparent and seamless. Let’s take a look at the highlights from last month.

$YO Claims Are Open, New $YO Rewards

Claims for the $YO token opened on February 5th, marking the next step in YO’s decentralization roadmap. Soon, token holders will be able to help guide the protocol’s future direction. DeFi activities on Pendle were also added to the $YO Rewards program to give you even more ways to earn more $YO.

YoGOLD Is Now Earning Native Yield

Battle-tested during two of the most volatile days ever recorded for gold markets, yoGOLD proved it was ready for a full launch, and the vault is now earning native yield. Deposit and earn 1% native yield on your XAUt.

Introducing the YO SDK

We haven’t just been focused on our own app; we’ve unlocked more ways for wallets, neobanks, and fintechs to bring risk-adjusted yield to their apps. Last month, YO debuted the YO SDK, a TypeScript SDK for integrating onchain yield into any app. An all-in-one clean client interface that’s both multi-chain and multi-asset.

On February 26th, our virtual hackathon opened on DoraHacks. From Feb 26 - March 19, you can compete for a $3000 + 30,000 $YO prize pool by creating the smartest DeFi savings experience using the YO SDK.

New UX Updates

The YO team keeps refining to make your yield optimization experience smoother. Last month, we debuted a brand new deposit and withdrawal UX, with easier asset selection, chain selection to receive yoVault tokens, and real-time status for crosschain deposits. We also added new vault activity filters so you can now filter by activity type (deposit/withdraw), activity time period (24h/7d/30d), network (Ethereum, Base), and top holders.

Looking Ahead

YO is just getting started, and new products and features are on the way for next month. Keep an eye here on our blog and on X for what’s to come.
