YO has been quietly building, and December was the month that we delivered. In December, we introduced our fifth flagship vault, yoGOLD, announced our $10M Series A round, partnered with institutional digital asset manager IDX Digital Assets, launched native Ethereum deposits for all yoVaults, and more. Let’s take a look at the highlights.

YO Labs Raises $10M Series A

The highlight of December was our $10 million Series A round led by Foundation Capital, with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Scribble Ventures, and Launchpad Capital. The funding will be used to expand the YO Protocol to new chains and enhance its infrastructure to power yield optimization for the entire crypto economy.

As we started building the YO app, it became clear that the engine we were building shouldn’t just power our own product. So we took the core of YO and expanded it to become the unified yield infrastructure for crypto.

YO Protocol is the unified yield layer that lets crypto and fintech companies plug into optimized, risk-aware yield through a single integration. Instead of each team reinventing the wheel, from sourcing strategies, assessing risk, assessing chains and protocols, they can just integrate with YO and focus on their product, brand, and user experience.

yoGOLD The First Institutional-Grade Yield Vault for Tokenized Gold

On December 3rd, we introduced our 5th flagship vault, yoGOLD, the first institutional-grade yield-bearing vault for tokenized gold, and opened the vault for pre-deposits in preparation for the vault’s full launch. Powered by Tether's XAUt, the largest, most liquid gold token on the market, yoGOLD provides an easy access point to earning yield on gold.

The vault is capped at $10m, and we’re currently offering a limited-time 3x YO points multiplier and 5x Fusion points on early allocations.

We also hosted an X Spaces with IPOR Fusion and Clearstar to discuss tokenized gold and dive deeper into the role each company plays in the yoGOLD vault.

IDX Digital Assets Partnership

We partnered with IDX Digital Assets to bring our DeFi yield optimization vault, yoUSD, into IDX Yieldstack.

The integration of our yield optimization technology will enhance the IDX Yieldstack platform, an institutional, self-custodial gateway to access yields on stablecoins, staking, and sophisticated DeFi strategies. This partnership will give IDX unparalleled access to the best yield available in all of DeFi, within IDX’s institutional framework.

Native Ethereum Deposits Are Live For All yoVaults

In November, we launched native deposits for yoETH. Now, native Ethereum deposits are available for all yoVaults. Deposit on Ethereum, receive yoTokens on Ethereum, earn yield on Ethereum.
